JFK carried the largest total passenger count of the three airports in 2025 and more than half of its traffic was international. Newark Liberty served the second-largest total, with a substantial international volume. LaGuardia’s traffic was predominantly domestic.
For trip planners, that mix is a useful reminder that airport ground travel is shaped by more than an airport code. The terminal, flight timing, passenger count, luggage and final destination all matter when arranging the onward journey.
